PDL Revised Definition

PDL in the Raw and Without Bias

Personal Digital Liquidity is a term used to describe an individual's flexibility and versatility in regard technological lifestyle.PDL was created by Nicholas McGill, an Northern California IT Consultant and is defined by a user's ability to freely move aspects of their technological lifestyle including their purchases, choices, preferences, information, and personal data across any hardware or software solution. In short it is the individual's ability to fluidly move from one technological solution to the next with out the loss of information, control, or choice.

A person is said to have successfully preserved their personal digital liquidity if they have migrated to a different, separate or new technological solution without the loss or limitation of purchasing choice options, capabilities, or ownership or control of personal information or data.

At any given time, a particular product or solution may beat all competitors or stand out, but it may place a heavy toll on an individual's personal digital liquidity; limiting choices,options or control.
